- All learners must pass the introduction to SAMTRAC course before registering for SAMTRAC
- The SAMTRAC bridging course will allow students who completed SAMTRAC prior to February 2012 an opportunity to update their qualification, and attain membership and accreditation with IOSH, without having to redo the full 10-day SAMTRAC course
- TechSaiosh Membership
SAMTRAC is accredited through the South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Saiosh) and, on successful completion of SAMTRAC, learners may apply for their TechSaiosh membership through Saiosh

Students with the relevant experience (two years full-time or three to five years part-time) may apply for TechIOSH membership and on acceptance NOSA will cover 50% of the first year membership fee
How to apply: On successful completion of SAMTRAC, and once you have received your certificates from NOSA, you will need to complete the application form provided in your pack and e-mail it to firstname.lastname@example.org
Once NOSA receives your completed application, you will be invoiced for the remaining 50% of the membership fee. Once payment confirmation has been received, NOSA will send the application to IOSH, after which IOSH will contact you directly regarding your membership.
